Ihre Aufgaben im Detail:

The Senior Solutions Consultant will provide technical Pre/Post-Sales support to Customers, Partners and Sales on the BI-Analytics platform.

Responsibilities:

The job holder will be expected to perform the following:-

Work with customers to understand their business issues and formulate value propositions in the Analytics space

Define Analytics solution architecture and elaborate on business benefits and return of investment

Be creative in pushing the value of the overall BI-Analytics platform

Provide product expertise support to sales force (SSG, VAR/OEM and Partners sales directors, Analytics direct and indirect sales, BDE) on the full range of sales cycles

Deliver Spotfire presentations, demonstrations, workshops and manage and coordinate proofs-of-concept on real customer environment

Work with Partners to transfer knowledge, build joint value propositions, and provide support as required during their pre-sales cycles

Contribute to formal bids and invitations to tender

Develop competitive knowledge and leverage in pre-sales cycle

Keep up with industry trends and best practices

Provide feedback to the Engineering, Marketing, Support, Field Sales and SC teams on value propositions, experiences, lessons learned, product evolution, etc.

Qualifications

MSc in Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics

German mother tongue, fluency in English is a must; additional fluency in another European language would be a plus

Primarily IT background – with 5-8 years of experience in pre-sales in the BI and Analytics topic (in many forms and shapes, ranging from small specialized solutions to large enterprise data warehouses, in a number of different verticals)

Knowledge of Analytics and Big Data concepts, technologies and architecture is a must

Ideally with past experiences at companies like Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, SAS, Birst, Domo, MapR, InformationBuilders, and also SAP, IBM or Microsoft, Google, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Teradata/Aster, HP, EMC, but limited to their Analytics solutions)

Notions of Advanced Analytics, Data Science (e.g. Statistics and Predictive using stats programming languages such as S+, R, or SAS), Geo-Analytics, Real Time Analytics is a must

Knowledge of the Analytics market in the DACH region, pre-sales experience in Industries like FSI, Manufacturing, and CPG & Retail is highly appreciated

Any form of Spotfire experience is highly appreciated

Experience in Cloud deployment model is appreciated

Specifications:

Deep personal interest in data and information, data analysis, and how this can transform a business

Solutions oriented, with a high degree of creativity and curiosity (a decent sized inventory of ideas, concepts, templates, etc may be advantageous)

Excellent presentation and customer interfacing skills. He/She must already know that doing demos is not about showing a set of product features – it’s about understanding the audience and inspiring them – both from a technical and business perspective

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.

Self-motivated and able to work under pressure. Ability to work as a team, yet work independently on routine problems

Up to 50% travel within EMEA region, primarily (but not limited to) the D/A/CH area, and occasionally other countries in the EMEA region

Occasional travel further afield
